Location and schedules for bagua, xingyi, and weapons classes and seminars with Andrea Falk in Quebec city and Victoria, and at the clubs where I am hosted in Guelph, Vancouver, and Winnipeg in Canada, and Basingstoke in the UK. Contact Andrea if a specific contact is not given. I've posted video links within the 'people' pages of demonstrations by the teachers of the styles we teach.
Quebec City
Quebec City
Previous students, please get in touch ahead of time if you want to train with me. I am in the park training most afternoons when I am in town, and can adjust the time to suit you. I don’t take new students.
West Coast, BC.
In Sidney, is a loose group, so is the wushu centre @ the coast
Next visit dates: Travel is back, and I went in 2023. I plan on being there in April every year.
Location: In Sidney, at the back of Iroquois park (named after a ship), which is the park not on the water, opposite Tulista park. Contact: Andrea.
Medicine Hat, Alberta
In Medicine Hat hosted by Medicine Hat Baguazhang Training Group.
I will ask you to come to Winnipeg if you want to train with me. Classes in Winnipeg are 6:00 to 8:00 pm every evening, so there is lots of time for private sessions during the days.
Nathen Marschel 2016
Nathen Marschel has taken up the reins of the bagua teaching. Regular training in the Hat is year round if Nathen is there, he is up north for the forseeable future. Check the Facebook page to watch for changes or notices.
Winnipeg, Manitoba
In Winnipeg hosted by Ching Wu Athletic Association. 213 Pacific Ave. This is David Cliffe’s club, and has been in Winnipeg for as long as I can remember.
Twice yearly sessions are mid June and mid January. Next date: the 2020, 2021, and 2022 sessions were cancelled due to covid-19 travel restrictions.
Bagua (continuation of where you are, and new people welcome), Xingyi (eight skills for advanced, continuation of elements and animals at the appropriate levels, maybe some Xingyi sabre, anshenpao, new people welcome), and weapons (check ahead for which weapon will be done).
Bagua sessions are Tuesday and Thursday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Wednesday, 6:00 to 8:00, is bagua spear. Xingyi is on Monday, 6:00 to 8:00. Private classes available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the day. If you have a bagua sabre, bring it along, you never know.
Location: Ching Wu Athletic Association, 213 Pacific Ave, Winnipeg.
Regular bagua training is on Saturdays at Ching Wu Athletic Association, 1:30pm to 2:30pm. Run by David Cliffe and Kelly Whelan-Enns. David is the head coach at Ching Wu, so teaches Shaolin and Taijiquan and has an encyclopedic knowledge of many fighting systems. Xingyi is going to start up on Saturdays as well, at the same time as bagua clases, lead by David Cliffe.
Guelph, Ontario.
In Guelph (Ontario) hosted by Stone Lantern Internal Arts. The coach at Stone Lantern is James Saper.
Seminars are no longer going to be held in Guelph. Thanks to all the covid restrictions, James had to close his kungfu club. We had a good, long run – twice a year, every year, from 2004 to 2020. I hope people keep training what I taught there, and I will miss the regular visits with the southern Ontario people.
You can continue to learn from James in the parks in Guelph. contact James Saper: stone.lantern@icloud.com
Contact James Saper, or his website.
UK
I go to England to ring bells, and while there stay with friends who do martial arts. I’m always happy to do some teaching during the visit (especially since there are no bell practices on Saturday anyway). Times are 10:00 to 4:00 Saturdays and 10:20 to 4:30 Sundays (because of service ringing, 10:40 start if I have a quarter peal attempt at Overton).
In Basingstoke hosted by Northern Gate Internal Arts. Bagua, xingyi, training weapons. There is a group practice Thursday evenings at 6:00 and Saturday mornings, 9:30 - 11:00 outside, year round. The location is Becket Court, on the Worting Road, Basingstoke. The local coach is Neil Bates.

Next session with Andrea: 2020, 2021, and 2022 were writeoffs, with covid travel restrictions. Cross your fingers for November 2023.
Bagua (continue to advance in Jiang, Liang, and MaGui) and Xingyiquan (continue with animals, staff, Anshenpao, Eight Moves routine, weapons).
Bring your sabre, stick, spear, or sword every day, because any nice weather we get we might pull them out (each person works with one style and one weapon each session, it is not a randam grab bag of training).
